Baby Bath Choices Are Endless

If you’re bathing in the same tub I’m wading in, you might want to soak this in: baby bath choices are endless!

Parents, you have to decide. Baby needs a bathtub. You can get a tub from $15 to $12,000—portable, permanent with a stand, or one that fits in your sink. Tubs are for any mom, any lifestyle, because let’s face it, the tubs are more for us than our bundle of joy. Me? I’m a jacuzzi mom. I bought the tub with a built-in shower head and jets. My baby LOVES the vibrations, and shampooing the hair is much simpler with the overhead shower. The pressure is light. I love steamy showers, but I have a sensor pad my baby soaks on that lets me know the appropriate temperature has been reached.

What kind of bath are you looking for?

There is no right or wrong tub to go with, but some of the options are pretty incredible.

A few bath time safety reminders

Bathing a baby is fun, but as parents, we must stay safe. I suggest baby CPR classes because it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Gather all your supplies before bathing the baby, such as towels, bath wash, shampoo, and wipes. Put the baby in the tub, feet first. Invest in a non-slip mat for a baby tub or regular tub. Take the baby out of the tub with a dry towel. Never leave the baby alone, not even for a few seconds. A baby can drown in a few centimeters of water, with no noise or splashing. Always keep baby within arm’s reach, and make sure the temperature is safe. There are temperature detector pads you can purchase. Don’t run bath water while baby is in the tub. Don’t get distracted by a doorbell or ringing phone. After all, what’s more important than your baby?
